The Technical Sourcer independently builds and maintains robust talent pipelines for critical and recurring technical roles, including positions requiring security clearances and specialized IT expertise. This role specializes in engaging passive candidates through multi‑channel outreach, conducting initial qualification screenings, and partnering closely with recruiters and hiring managers to align sourcing strategies with evolving workforce needs. The Technical Sourcer leverages advanced sourcing techniques and tools, maintains accurate ATS/CRM records, ensures compliance with OFCCP and EEO guidelines, and continuously improves sourcing processes to strengthen hiring outcomes and enhance the organization’s employer brand within the government contracting space.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Independently develop talent pipelines for critical and recurring roles, particularly those requiring security clearances or specialized IT skills.
- Engage and build relationships with passive candidates through multiple channels, including email, phone, text, and social media, to gauge interest and qualify candidates for open roles.
- Stay updated on new sourcing techniques and tools, making adjustments and recommending enhancements to systems and processes as necessary to improve effectiveness within the job area.
- Work closely with Recruiters and hiring managers to align sourcing strategies with department-specific hiring needs, ensuring that developed candidate pipelines meet organizational goals.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with candidates, Recruiters, hiring managers, and other stakeholders, influencing decisions within the job function at an operational level to increase hiring effectiveness and position Maximus as a preeminent employer in the government contracting space.
- Conduct initial screening calls to assess candidates' qualifications, interest levels, and suitability for job openings. Present interested and qualified candidates to Recruiters to support ongoing recruitment efforts and enhance talent pipelines.
- Maintain and update candidate records in Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems, ensuring accuracy and compliance with internal and governmental regulations.
- Understand and apply OFCCP (Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs) guidelines, as well as Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) and affirmative action guidelines and requirements.
- Set objectives for your own job area to meet the objectives or goals of projects and assignments, working independently with general supervision.
- Identify and address general problems within the job function that may require understanding a broader set of issues but are typically not complex. Make adjustments or recommend enhancements in systems and processes to solve problems or improve effectiveness within the job area.
- Bachelor's degree in relevant field of study and 3+ years of relevant professional experience required, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
