IEC Systems Engineer

And our work depends on TS/SCI level cleared Sr Systems Engineer joining our team to support our Intelligence customer in Springfield, VA or Arnold, MO. The engineering team is looking for a driven Senior Systems Engineer that can demonstrate an ability to think strategically about technology and business. The ideal candidate is self-aware, highly adaptive and motivated in becoming proficient in project coordination and communicating on multiple technologies. What you will get to doCollaborate and support the Senior Engineering and Project Integration staff in assessing, documenting, and tracking existing and new program requirementsSupport the program by developing artifacts, architectural documentation, and integration of various sources into a cohesive product, preparation of graphical and narrative presentationSupport the integration, and testing of specific components of hardware/software systems on a complex programWork and interact with engineers across multiple contracts to produce architecture artifacts that span technical, physical and logical designs supporting a portfolio of managed servicesMonitor service line communication channels for immediate needs throughout the daySupport comprehensive solutions development by leveraging subject matter experts from across several contracts and service lanes to produce and document environmentsManaging assigned service tickets and coordinating closure as neededBasic QualificationsEight (8) years' experience as a Systems Engineer supporting complex, multi- site enterprise scale environments; with a Bachelor's degree in a related field (Computer Science, etc) .Experience writing detailed, technical documentation8570 complianceActive TS/SCI clearancePreferred QualificationsAccountability, ownership and a drive for continuous improvement (Industry Certs, Education etc.)Performing IT project integration related work to include the following:Ability to present to internal & external leadershipRunning project control gates, tracking tasksCollaborating with different service lanesData flow validation and manage interfaces with mission application service provider Producing technical diagrams with Microsoft VisioUsing project tracking tools (i.e., Jira, Confluence, KanBan Boards)Adept at learning and applying new technologies - Keeping up to date on emerging technologies and tools will be encouraged and importantExcellent oral and written communication skillsStrong interpersonal skillsDesired Qualifications A deep expertise in one of the following areas andWorking knowledge of one or more of the other following:Juniper / Cisco NetworkingCisco ASA / Palo Alto FirewallsVMware Infrastructures and architectures, virtual networking, vROPSRed Hat Enterprise Linux, YUM, Satellite, Capsule technologiesEnterprise Storage Systems (EMC (Unity, Isilon platforms) NetApp) Enterprise scale backup technologiesDISA STIG Audits, hardening and remediation proceduresCertification and Accreditation ExperienceRisk Management FrameworksWhat we can offer you - Technical exposure in one or more of the following:Enterprise scale system integration and designEnterprise Virtualized environmentsLAN and WAN technologiesFirewall technologiesDMZ ArchitecturesEnterprise class storage, NAS & SAN technologiesBackup technologies - NetBackup, Cohesity and Veeam Backup solutions Location: Customer Site US Citizenship Required GDIT IS YOUR PLACEAt GDIT, the mission is our purpose, and our people are at the center of everything we do.
