We are hiring for multiple Health Unit Coordinator - NICU opportunities. This posting is for multiple openings of Health Unit Coordinator - NICU at Covenant Children's Hospital in Lubbock, TX.



Available Job Types: Part Time including flexibility to work holidays as needed or scheduled to ensure adequate coverage in alignment with operational and departmental needs



Available Shifts: Night, Day



Current Available Schedules:




  • Every Weekend Saturday through Sunday, 12-hour shift, 7:00 pm to 7:00 am


  • Every Weekend Saturday through Sunday, 12-hour shift, 7:00 am to 7:00 pm



Please note that this position is onsite and therefore requires the ability to commute to Covenant Childrens Hospital in Lubbock, TX.



The Health Unit Coordinator (HUC) is responsible for maintaining the nursing station by performing clerical and order entry duties. Acts as a receptionist for the nursing station, answering inquiries of general nature through utilization of phone, patient call system, message relaying, and promotion of good working relationships with other hospital personnel.

Preferred Qualifications:




  • Some college hours or coursework including medical terminology


  • Experience and proficiency with computers including Microsoft applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.

Posted are the minimum and the maximum wage rates on the wage range for this position. The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
