The Product Manager, PCR is responsible for product Life Cycle management of products in your portfolio, including building and leveraging market/customer & competitive insights to establish product 12-year forecast for on market products, understanding and using the Danaher Business System toolkit including fundamental tools (Problem Solving Process, Standard Work, 5S), and lean tools (Transactional Process Improvement, Value Stream Mapping) to drive KPIs across all product aspects of quality, sales and support, and contributing to and executing product obsolescence and discontinuation strategy. This position reports to the Director of Commercial Product Management, Components and is part of the Gene Reading Business Unit located in Boulder Colorado. This will be an on-site role in either Boulder, Colorado or Coralville, Iowa. In this role, you will have the opportunity to: - Serve as a subject matter expert for product uses and target markets/customers with continuous analysis of trends, competitors, channels, standards inclusive of recommending actions that drive product line performance.
- Utilize customer needs to develop annual strategic growth plan to achieve annual product revenue targets.
- Lead development, execution, and creation of targeted marketing messaging/content and sales tools including new and in-market product training. Partner with Regional Marketing and Product Marketing to execute marketing plans.
- Contribute to the product development strategy for our PCR portfolio, with a focus on cross-divisional collaboration that prioritizes customer needs, portfolio roadmaps, and integration into the IDT value proposition.
- Partner with Quality and Operations on quality and supply issues to optimize inventory, reduce backorder, minimize scrap risks, drive margin expansion and own communication to the commercial teams and customers when necessary.
The essential requirements of the job include: - Bachelors degree in Life Science (chemistry, biochemistry, molecular biology, etc.)
- 5+ years of experience in Life Science, Diagnostics, or Biotechnology predominantly in customer facing roles, customer enablement, or application sciences
- Ability to effectively manage multiple responsibilities and prioritize across projects to meet business expectations
- Strong and proven analytical and problem-solving skills
Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements: - Ability and willingness to travel up <25% of time domestically and internationally
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in: - Advanced degree (Masters, PhD, MBA) in Life Science (chemistry, biochemistry, molecular biology, etc.)

The annual salary range for this role is $110,000 - $130,000. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. This range may be modified in the future. This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
