The Analytical Chemist II is responsible for manufacturing and analytical verification of products, as well as data review and continuous improvement objectives associated with those products. The incumbent will work with the Chemistry Operations team and the Quality Service team to continuously monitor, evaluate, revise and improve work procedures, processes, and systems to ensure best practices that result in a safe work environment, improved productivity and the highest level of quality for manufactured products in our industry. This position reports to the Organic PT Operations Supervisor and is located in Golden, CO. This will be an on-site role. In this role, you will have the opportunity to: - Be a part of a team in utilizing DBS tools such as Daily Management, 5S, and PSP to continuously identify and take advantage of improvement opportunities. Including evaluating and continuously improving procedures, work procedures and SOPs to drive gains in productivity and product quality, reflecting best practices that are efficient, effective, and ensure the highest level of safety and quality
- Work as part of a team including cross-training colleagues on manufacturing and analytical verification procedures of all products to achieve a high level of competency ensuring that production deadlines are met and that full lot folder review has been completed
- Develop, validate, and implement new or improved analytical procedures for existing and newly developed products, including new work procedures and SOPs as new products are developed and commercialized
- Understand and apply the companys Quality System and ensure compliance with all quality system certifications and accreditations. Assisting in regular internal quality audits and external quality audits
- Be a technical resource as needed, perform routine calibration and maintenance of laboratory instrumentation, tools, and supplies. Work efficiently and independently in a fast pace, highly evolving environment and participate in additional activities and responsibilities as required
The essential requirements of the job include: - B.S. in Chemistry or related field and 3+ years analytical laboratory experience
- Knowledge of chemical characteristics and standard methods for the analysis of environmental samples
- Knowledge of the principles and practice of laboratory quality assurance and quality control
- Knowledge of computer-based laboratory information management systems and data management and processing techniques
- Excellent time management skills, laboratory safety practices and procedures
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in: - Instrumental work with HPLC, LC-MS, GC-FID and/or GC-MS
- Experience with PFAS and method development
- Advanced Excel formulations, mathematical and statistical calculations
Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements: if applicable for role - Work with hazardous, flammable, corrosive, carcinogenic, compressed gases, and toxic materials in a safe manner
- Work in specialized personal protective equipment (PPE), including respirators, face shields, and Tyvek suits

This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. This range may be modified in the future. This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay. We offer comprehensive package of benefits including paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance and 401(k) to eligible employees.
