HOW A FORTINET & NETWORK INFRASTRUCTURE EXPERT WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:
- Extensive knowledge of FortiGate firewall platforms (physical/virtual/Multi VDOM)
- Expert knowledge of BGP to include design, implementation, and troubleshooting
- The ability to design, implement, and troubleshoot IPSEC tunnels between Fortigates and other common platforms (AWS, Palo Alto, and Check Point)
- Knowledge of FortiManager and FortiAnalyzer to include deployment and daily maintenance.
- Operational knowledge of AWS Networking to include Direct Connect, Transit Gateway, Security Groups, Route Tables, Cloud watch logs, Application Load Balancers, Network Load balancers
- Knowledge of operating in an environment with IPV6 and IPV4
- Work across teams, and external customer groups to develop strategy, design solutions, and advise implementation teams during infrastructure buildouts
- Deal with escalations. Make assessments, recommendations or provide solutions to resolve issues
- May coach and provide guidance to less-experienced professionals
WHAT YOULL NEED TO SUCCEED:
Required Education: BA/BS or equivalent experience
Required Experience:
- 10+ years of experience in network engineering required, with at least 3 years focused on FortiGate Firewalls and BGP
Required Technical Skills:
- Networking (Routing, Firewall, and Switching)
- FortiGate Firewalls and BGP
Security Clearance Level: Ability to obtain and maintain a position of Public Trust
Required Skills and Abilities: Excellent communication skills with demonstrated experience delivering presentations to diverse audiences at various levels of an organization
